The Ives School: Our Method

Lincoln Hall believes in a holistic learning environment where students engage and evolve through rigorous academics and the implementation of the Lincoln Hall Method. This method consists of six key components of learning.

A Rigorous Academic Agenda

Education is a priority at Lincoln Hall and while not every student learns the same way, nor at the same level, the commitment to academics is unwavering. Each student receives 5.5 hours of daily academic instruction in the following areas:

The Vocational Program

The vocational program at the Ives School offers students exposure and training to certain trades providing them experience and skills to be prepared to enter the job market when they leave.

A 360° Approach to Athletics

Teamwork and sportsmanship are as important as skill when it comes to the athletic curriculum at Lincoln Hall. Healthy living and team building is used to develop important traits in our young men. Lincoln Hall has won numerous regional championships in basketball, including the prestigious Dennis T. Hurlie Boys Sportsmanship award. All aspects of sports and a healthy lifestyle are defining characteristics of what we teach and believe at Lincoln Hall.

Beyond the School Day: After school intentional programming

Lincoln Hall understands that learning and growth happen inside and outside the typical school day. Therefore, Lincoln Hall offers classes and clubs that develop skills and ignite passions to become well rounded individuals.
